The Healing Cabin is a tranquil garden sanctuary based in the village of Chobham, Woking. I offer a range of holistic therapies aiming to treat the ‘whole’ person supporting your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Helping to reduce stress levels, promote relaxation, heal and bring the body back to an equilibrium.
Treatments
Reflexology

Reflexology is a non invasive, touch therapy using the application of pressure to areas of the feet. It is based on the theory that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Focusing on certain areas can help to alleviate symptoms of stress, effective in promoting deep relaxation, balancing the body and for well-being.
Full Body Massage

A relaxing therapeutic massage covering the entire body from head to toe. Using a variety of massage techniques I aim to relieve your muscles from built-up tension and knots. Massage has many health benefits and these include releasing muscle tension, improving circulation, stimulating lymphatic circulation and improving the immune system. You will be left feeling totally refreshed and rejuvenated.
Half Body Massage

A therapeutic half body massage focusing on the back, neck, shoulders, arms and finishes with a deeply relaxing pressure point massage on the face and scalp. This is ideal for those who suffer with stress and tension in the top line of the body.

Seichem Reiki Healing

Hopi Ear Candles

A thoroughly relaxing therapy using lit hollow candles made from natural beeswax and linen cloth. This therapy is ideal for those suffering with conditions of the ears, nose or throat area. During the therapy Reiki healing will be given and the treatment will be finished off with a massage around the ears, face and scalp to help stimulate the lymphatic system.
Gua Sha and Gliding Cupping massage

This massage includes the combination of hand massage together with gua sha and gliding cupping. Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing method using smooth edged tools to rub, stroke and scrape the skin. ‘Gua’ translates to scraping and ‘sha’ translates to sand, referring to the small red dots that can appear. Cupping involves the use of silicone cups which causes a gentle suction on the skin and fascia. Both methods help to disperse stagnated blood, qi and lymph helping to improve circulation and restore areas of tension and tightness. Petechia, small red dots, appear on the skin which can indicate the areas of stagnation.

Gua Sha Facial Massage

Facial Gua Sha massage is a traditional Chinese therapy technique, Gua Sha translates to sand/scraping. It involves the use of tools to stroke the skin helping to remove stagnation of lymph, blood and qi (energy). This will leave your face energised, radiant and promotes reduction of puffiness. It’s can benefit those who suffer with sinus issues and allergies and can help to relieve tension in the muscles to the face and jaw.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage

MLD is a very gentle form of massage that uses light rhythmic movements to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid around the body. The lymphatic system forms part of the immune system and helps to filter out waste from the body and unlike the circulatory system the lymphatic system has no pump, the only way it can move is via the contraction of muscles, breathing and via MLD. MLD is helpful to those who suffer with lymphoedema, swelling and many other health conditions including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, sports injuries and due to its detoxing effect it is beginning to become more popular among those suffering with long covid.

About Me
My Journey
I’m Tanya and I’ve always been a very spiritual person and have always known that I have wanted to help others. My journey started in 2013 when my daughter fell seriously ill. We spent most of that year in hospital recovering and learning how to administer her life long medication and I became her nurse. During this time we experienced Seichem Reiki for the first time, I’d heard of it but they say Reiki comes into your life when it is needed. I took my daughter to have Reiki after a lady contacted us and that’s when we met my lovely Reiki teacher. My daughter was 2 years old and the effect it had on her was amazing, she also gave me some reiki and I noticed my knee pain I had been experiencing completely disappeared. I couldn’t believe the powerful effect reiki had. This kickstarted my interest and I decided to learn Reiki 1 myself initially to help my family. After 10 months in hospital we were discharged and I had to give up my office role and focus on caring for my daughter. During this time I decided to go on to learn Reiki levels 2 and 3. In 2014 I qualified with a level 3 ITEC diploma in anatomy and physiology and massage. In 2017 I qualified with a level 3 ITEC diploma in Reflexology and I have completed CPD courses in Indian head massage, Rahanni celestial healing, gua sha and many more.
I know what it is like to suffer with anxiety, stress and low times and I have managed many ways holistically to get myself back on track. I don’t only offer the services above but also my experience of how to deal with stressful times and what can help to get you through. I also have a huge interest in mediumship, tarot and spiritual practices. I have recently completed a course in meditation and can help with these techniques to help calm the mind. I am currently in the process of completing a course in acupressure so this therapy will also be on offer soon.
I believe stress is the biggest cause of most of our ailments and our daily struggles with chronic illness and I believe if you can manage your stress levels it’ll help you to live a happier, healthier life. I am a listening ear and always happy to take the time with my clients and provide advice and help.
We are our own advocates and we must know how to look after ourselves and know what we need to do to get ourselves feeling better and stress free.
